Understanding the Three-Two Roulette Betting System

Posted on May 11, 2018

If you're a new online roulette system player, you probably don't understand the three-two (3/2) betting system. Here's your guide.

Three-Two Betting in an Online Roulette System

Roulette, in French, means little wheel. Roulette isn't just any little old wheel, though. This wheel can make you a lot of money if you play it right it.

If you've ever been inside a casino or seen a movie set in Las Vegas, you're familiar with this classic game. It stretches all the way back to the 17th century when Blaise Pascal invented the first "roulette machine." You may have even played a little yourself.

It seems like an intimidating game built entirely on luck for the uninitiated, but like with any other game in a casino (except for slots), there's strategy involved. These days, you don't even have to leave your house to play. You can find an online roulette system and play from your bed.

If you want to actually make money though, you're going to need a game plan. In this article, we'll cover the Three-Two betting system.

What Is Roulette? Roulette is a game with a wheel with 38 little "pockets" that are each have a designated number (1-36) and color (red or black). The dealer, or "croupier" in Roulette terms, spins the wheel and then drops a ball in the wheel.

Players place bets on where the ball will drop, and if a player guesses correctly, he wins money. There are, however, different types of bets a player can make. A casino game of roulette and an online roulette system work this same way.

Types of Bets

To place a bet, you place the chips you wish to bet on a roulette board, which has a layout of all the numbers and colors on the wheel.

You can make a straight bet, where a player bets that a single number will win. So if a player bets on the number 5, and the ball lands on 5, the player wins. This type of bet has a 35-1 payout. It's the highest risk bet with the highest reward.

You can also make a split bet, which is the same as a straight bet, but you're betting on two numbers that are next to each other on the board. This has a 17-1 payout.

Then there's also the street bet, the square bet, and the six line bet, which allow you to bet on 3,4, and 6 numbers at once respectively.

You can also bet on colors (red or black), odd or even numbers, low numbers (1-18) and high numbers (19-36), and lastly groups of 12 numbers (1-12, 13-24, or 25-36).

Basically, every bet that has more numbers in its group has a lower payout. Keep that in mind, because it'll be important when discussing strategy when it comes to placement of bets.

Roulette Betting Strategy There are a lot of different ways to strategize your betting when playing roulette. Some of the most popular ones are the Martingale System, where you only bet on 50/50 odds and double down after each loss to make your money back,
the Paroli System (where you do the exact opposite and double down after winning), the Fibonacci System, and many others.

We're here to describe the Three-Two betting system though, so let's get to it.

Three-Two Betting Explained

This betting system is great for beginners and folks with light wallets because it's designed to give you small, high-frequency wins. Whether you're playing at a casino or through an online roulette system, it should work for you.

It works by placing two bets per spin. One bet has to be a bet on either red or black, as a group and the other bet has to be placed on a column of numbers (refer back to the roulette board if you're confused).

With this method, you can cover 26 of the 36 pockets of the roulette wheel. The odds of winning on any given spin are very high, but of course, this means that the payout is rather low.

The two ways to cover 26 pockets with this method is to place one bet on red and the second bet on the middle column or to place one bet on black and the second bet on the third column.

The reason this allows you to cover 26 pockets is that while each column has the same odds of winning, the second and third columns have an uneven amount of red and black numbers.

The second column has 8 black numbers and 4 red numbers. So that's why you'd place your other bed on red. You're covering more numbers.

The third column works in the same way but is the opposite. It has 8 red numbers and 4 black numbers, so you bet on black with your other bet. This allows you cover 18 of one color and 8 of the another, 26 spaces in all.

The reason it's called the Three-Two betting system is that you'll be betting on a 3:2 ratio with the larger bet always landing on the color.

For example, if you bet $10 on the second column, you'll have to bet $15 on red. This works because columns have a 2:1 payout and colors just have a 1:1 payout and this ratio helps cover your losses when you lose. So if on one spin the ball lands on red you'll have won $15, which covers the loss you took on your $10 bet, giving you a net profit of $5.

An Important Disclaimer

It is important to note that while this method gives you a 68%-70% chance of winning on every spin, sometimes that's not how it works out. You could go through an unlucky period where the ball just misses your covered pockets every spin and you end up deep in the hole.

For these periods, it is essential that you have a bankroll large enough to fun your dry spells.
